Letter Hex is designed to be played without an account. This policy explains what we collect when you do choose to sign in, and how it's used.
Playing as a guest (default): your progress, settings, and scores are stored on your device only. A randomly generated anonymous ID is used to sync scores to leaderboards and record level results for game-balance tuning. No name, email, or contact information is collected.
If you sign in (Sign in with Apple, Google, or email magic link): we store your sign-in email, your chosen display name and avatar, your game progress and scores, and your purchase history — so your progress can be restored on a new device.
Leaderboards: your display name, avatar, scores, and best words are visible to other players on the in-game leaderboards.
Purchases: payments are processed entirely by Apple or Google. We never see or store payment card details; we store only a record of what was purchased to deliver and restore it.
We don't sell your data. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs. We don't collect location, contacts, photos, or any device data beyond what's needed to run the game.
Online features (accounts, leaderboards, daily challenges, shop catalog) are powered by Supabase, which stores data on our behalf. Traffic is encrypted in transit.
You can delete your account and all server-side data at any time from within the game: Account → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and permanent — profile, scores, leaderboard entries, and purchase records are removed. Local device data can be cleared by uninstalling the app.
Letter Hex is a general-audience word game. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children; guest play collects no personal information from anyone.
